CLASS XIV: SPIRIT II

ADORNMENT | PERSONAL AESTHETIC | AUTHENTIC FUSION

 (And appropriation)

This class is a discussion and explanation about how I conceptualize and create costumes for performance.

Upon some serious contemplation, I decided to share the recording of this session from the first round of the certification program because I no longer have the costume items shown as demonstrations due to the fact that the majority of my costume wardrobe was stolen back in May. I am still in the process of rebuilding my wardrobe, so this recording is the best way that I can effectively share my process with you at this time.

We did things a bit differently in the first cycle, so we were still in the ensouling process of the Air chapter in our grimoires. If you wish to skip through that. part at the beginning and just get to the costume discussion, you can.

PREP FOR THIS CLASS:

A notebook and pen.

OUR FINAL CLASS IS NEXT WEEK!

We will recap all of the motifs and finish the Spirit chapter in our grimoire’s.

HOMEWORK:

1 – Practice the Elemental heart-guided improvisation for 5 minutes a day as part of your daily ritual.

2 – Work on your Spirit Gate page and conjurations in your Grimoire

3 – Begin your certification requirements for completion:

FOR CERTIFICATES TO BE ISSUED:

1 – 1 video of you dancing one of the elemental motifs in it’s entirety.

2 – A written essay about your experience connecting with the elementals through the mudra yoga practice and movement, your personal favorite elemental and how you plan to proceed with your Elemental Fusion Dance practice.

3 – Send photo copies of your beginner (notebook) grimoire (at the very least) – your hard bound grimoire if you made one to me.

The best way to send items is to my email at Tiare.valouria@gmail.com – Google Documents works best if you have access to Google Drive.
